    Description

    Offered is a rare vintage Musical Hall Association of Honolulu 1880 Stock Certificate Number 102.
    This certificate was issued to A.J. Cartwright (1820-1892) controversially referred to as the "Father of Baseball"
    It states that he is the owner of 1 stock certificate in the amount of .00.
    On the backside, there are notations of his 4 installment payments of .50 made between March to November 1880.
    A.J. Cartwright served as Honolulu's first Fire Chief and was a trusted advisor to King David Kalakaua and Queen Emma.
    He is buried at Oahu Cemetary.
    Item measures 9 1/2 inches x 7 1/8 inches.
    Certificate is housed in a rigid plastic sleeve for storage and display purposes and comes from a smoke free home.
