    Description

Rare, vintage 1972 Playboy Enterprises, Inc. stock certificate, featuring a vignette of the February 1971 Playmate of the Month - Dutch model Willy Rey.
This certificate is a 'specimen' - part of a small run of certificates by the engraver (American Bank Note Company) to show the client, and typically kept securely on the premises of the engraver, and not issued.  Specimen certificates are much more rare than issued certs.  As many of you already know, paper stock certificates have for the most part now also gone away in favor of electronic 'book-entry' stock ownership.  Physical certificates have become very collectible, and an important part of Wall Street history.
