    Description

This is a 50 MHz to 26.999 GHz synthesized generator with a built in 0-99 dB attenuation system, pulse generator, microwave power meter and can even sweep this whole band!  Made by Systron Donner, type 1626, vintage early 1980's and cost ,000 new!!  The guys that designed this left S-D to found Gigatronics and improved on this basic design as better IC's became available.Has GPIB control bus for remote control. I have used these in my lab for a long time until newer units came my way.  There is a fortune in discrete parts in here, not like more modern generators where there are "special" modules that combine functions and there are only a few blocks that are not very useful for anything else.  This is made of good old "parts" including 2-10 MHz to 26.5 crystal detectors, a precision Weinschel 2-26 GHz directional coupler, 5 ea. multipole SMA relays, a DC-26.5 GHz 0-90 dB step attenuator (10 dB steps), a 1-26 GHz double balanced mixer, a 2-12 GHz YIG filter, 6 YIG oscillators (2-4, 4-8.7, 2-6, 8-12, 12-18 & 18-26.5 GHz), isolators, 10-2000 MHz amp, a filterbank in the 50- 2 GHz range using switched band pass filters, 10 MHz - 2 GHz crystal detector, 2 other SMA directional couplers, cables, samplers,  and more.  Full of goodies.  It may be possible for an astute tech type to repair the analog/digital circuits, I have repaired many of these in the past, but don't have time now, so selling these for the parts.  The YIGs alone are worth my asking price.
    LARGE & Heavy
    unit-
please note my overseas friends-this will cost a lot to ship, I have estimated at 450.00 but will have to get exact price when you purchase based on country !
I am willing to strip out the good stuff & send to you to save you money in shipping, in exchange for keeping the carcase for scrap.  Complete, rf stuff usually ok, faults with these units were in switch/band driver circuits, usually the 74288 band select PROMs blow out!
This thing is really something, lots of cool stuff!  If I part this out and measure the YIGs, I can get more than my asking price alone just for these, particularly the filter and 18-26 GHz oscillator. Even the boards are valuable because, in the manner of early HP stuff, all the boards are heavily gold plated so are worth something for gold scrap!   I am selling as PARTS only, as I don't want any unhappy people. I also have a large box of spare boards and modules for these if anyone wants to attempt repair.  You will have fun with this if you like RF/microwave stuff as you get a whole labs worth of stuff and do not have to buy it piecemeal! If you wanted to build your own equipment, here is an excellent starting point!
After having owned approximately 25 of these, this is the last complete unit, I have either sold or parted out all the others. For those who have one, I am on the verge of gold scrapping all my spare boards, so contact me if you need parts and I will put them up on eBay for you.
