Fine Antique Gilded Gold Etched Glass Trinket Jewel Dresser Hinged Lid BOX

Description

Exquisite antique etched frosted gilded glass oval dresser trinket box for jewels and other precious objects. Unsigned. 1900s-1930s. Heavy clear glass oval box with hinged lid. Exterior glass surface is etched with floral wildflowers motif on lid and around sides. Etched areas stand out against the gilt gold surface treatment. Gold areas have intense shine and reflection creating dark reflections in photos. Tiny nick in gold surface on side of lid (visible in 5th photo). No other chips/cracks. Top/bottom rims are gold tone or gold plated metal. Areas of metal are quite worn from repeated polishing over the years. Lid rests on base; designed without latch. Lid lifts up and is able to stay open, as shown in first photo. Good condition. Much prettier than photos! A statement piece of functional decor.
