Vance is in Bibb County and Tuscaloosa County, Alabama
While I-59 was NOT open in Birmingham until the late 70s, it was opened Southwest and Northeast of Birmingham in the mid 1960s.

Card published in Bessemer Alabama by Scenic South Card Company with color photograph by E. D. Herring (presumably with some connection to Herring Lake).
