FREE SHIPPING - AS USUAL!
(Because of advancing age and the problems that go with same, I'll be cutting back on the
number of items in my ebay store over the next few months - especially items that are
difficult to ship [like oversized pre ww1 sheet music and other oversized items] as well as inexpensive items that have been
listed for more than 2 years without much buyer interest. If you are watching such an
item in my store, you'd best buy it now before it's permanently removed).
Original ca. 1910 divided back postcard showing the Blast Furnace at Holt Alabama, 6 miles above Tuscaloosa Alabama.
Verso of card features a date 1/4/10 (?) and presumably an Alabama town name "Crava" or "Cravo" that I've never heard of and to which I could find no online reference. Perhaps it's a person's last name?
Standard sized postcard.
Card was published by Albertype Company in Brooklyn, New York, according to the unused stamp block
On 28 July 2020 I couldn't find any other listing for this postcard on ebay.
(Starting 18 March 2020 - though I'm social distancing myself and have absolutely no symptoms - I will rub [until dry] a fresh dollop of hand sanitizer into my hands immediately before picking your items from my shelves and packing them - and again when I mail them).
Card's paper has "toned" over the years. Corners bumped. Abrasion on the postally unused verso where someone scratched out a name or a brief message. Good only but sound . . . . . . . .
Remember that the
Abraham Lincoln Penny
is not attached to the item. It is put on the scanner bed merely to protect the uniqueness or near uniqueness of an image so that the high bidder gets an item that has not been copied via someone's computer. The penny DOES NOT hide any faults or any damage!

WE REGRET WE DON'T SHIP OUT OF USA; SORRY, BUT
NO EXCEPTIONS.
FREE SHIPPING cardboard and plastic sleeve protected 1st class mail, STANDARD RATE.
Regardless of what ebay may say on their "Shipping Page" - while STANDARD MAIL is perfectly safe for smaller & less expensive items - it is NOT the same grade of service as a "First Class Mail Package."
I ship AT LEAST twice a week (and OCCASIONALLY 3 times per week) so turnover time or handling time is 3
business
days (Mon-Fri)
max
- often less than that.
PAYPAL IS THE DEFAULT and MUCH PREFERRED METHOD OF PAYMENT.
Thanks!
Please pay within 4 days. Delayed? Then email me - I'll try to work with you when necessary but it helps a lot when I have contact with you. If your payment is delayed, ebay is liable to send a dun or two. PLEASE NOTE THAT THOSE ARE COMING AUTOMATICALLY FROM EBAY AND
NOT
FROM ME. I typically send out just one reminder.
PLACING A BID IS THE ETHICAL EQUIVALENT OF ACCEPTING THESE TERMS. PLEASE DON'T ASK TO ALTER THEM AFTERWARDS.
In return, as our feedback clearly shows, we'll get your item(s) to you, as described, in a safe, timely manner. Thanks!
